The ISTQB GenAI training shows you, in two days, how to use AI intelligently and responsibly within testing processes. You will learn how to work with prompts, synthetic test data, and AI-assisted scenarios, while discovering how to manage risks and create value for your organization. The GenAI training provides the knowledge and techniques needed to use GenAI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) responsibly in software testing. Over the course of two days, you will learn how to enhance testing processes with AI, manage associated risks, and integrate this technology into testing infrastructures while maintaining a strong focus on ethics, privacy, and quality. The training fully prepares you for the official ISTQB GenAI exam.
Topics covered
- Introduction to Generative AI: fundamental concepts, capabilities, limitations, and relevant use cases within software testing.
- Prompt engineering for creating effective test scenarios, acceptance criteria, synthetic test data, and automation tasks.
- Risk management: understanding challenges such as hallucinations, bias, data privacy, security, and environmental impact, including ways to mitigate these risks.
- AI-enabled test infrastructure: architectures for LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLMOps, and the use of AI agents.
- Integration and adoption within organizations: how to develop a roadmap, adapt processes, organize roles, and integrate GenAI into existing testing practices.
Objective and result
Upon completion, you will understand how Generative AI can strengthen testing activities and be able to design your own prompts and test scenarios. You will know how to manage risks related to bias, privacy, and security, and gain insight into how organizations can responsibly integrate GenAI. This will prepare you to apply your knowledge immediately and successfully take the ISTQB GenAI exam.
Who should attend
This training is intended for testers, test analysts, test automation specialists, test managers, and other QA professionals who want to learn how to use Generative AI responsibly. An ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certification is required. Programming knowledge is not necessary, although an interest in AI or technological innovation is beneficial.
